This is the version from The Wood Whisperer Guild. Even after nearly 4 years and many other projects, this is still one of my all time favorites. Both of these tables are currently in my living room.
As you can see I made one in cherry and one in walnut. This was probably my first time paying close attention to material selection. The legs were all cut out of 8/4 stock and cuts angled as necessary to get all rift sawn stock for nice straight grain on all sides.
I attempted hand cut dovetails but wasn’t happy with my results. So you can see that I went with pinned rabbets.
I turned my own drawer pulls and am very happy with the results.
The finish is General Finishes Arm-r-seal in semi-gloss.
